Storage General:
1. What is Self Storage?
We rent secure storage rooms for business and personal use. You have control over what is stored in your unit. You own the lock and keep the key. As a renter, your rights are protected through a rental agreement.
2. Who rents self storage?
Our business clients include lawyers, accountants, and doctors storing office documents; retail businesses storing merchandise, furniture and telecommunication equipment; and contractors storing construction equipment and building materials. Our individual users include homeowners preparing to sell their homes, or begin remodeling projects; automobile or motorcycle owners storing their vehicles over the winter months; students going home for the summer, travelers storing household items while overseas, and apartment dwellers or homeowners needing extra space for seasonal items.
Administration:
1. Are there any items that I cannot store?
Yes. You cannot store food, perishable items, flammables, explosives, or hazardous wastes. Our lease describes these restrictions in more detail. Please contact us if you have any questions on storage of particular items.
2. Is the storage area clean?
Every day we clean the driveways, hallways, storage units, roll up doors, the office and bathrooms. Our regional manager visits the facility every week to confirm that the facility is spotless. Cleanliness is our promise to our customers!
3. Do you sell moving supplies?
Yes, we stock and sell standard sizes from small boxes for delicate items to large boxes for TV and wardrobe. We also have a large supply of locks, mattress covers, tape and other essentials needed to help make your move easier.
4. When do I have to pay? How do I make payments?
Your rent must always be paid prior to the beginning of the storage period. You can pay monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or yearly. Payments can be made by cash, check, money order, MasterCard, Visa, or American Express. Credit Card transactions can be set up with automatic monthly billing.
5. How to rent from us?
First, give us a call. We'll provide you with current unit availability and prices. If you decide to rent from us, we'll ask you to review and sign our rental agreement. For your convenience, we can meet with you at our storage facility office, or if time allows, mail the agreement to you. Your first month's rent and security deposit is required when the rental agreement is signed. We'll work hard to meet your storage needs and schedule.
6. Do I have to sign a long term lease?
We do not require a long term lease, so you always have the option of paying for your storage space month-to-month. However, if you know you will be using the space for a longer period, and are willing to sign a lease and pay ahead, you can enjoy significant discounts!
My Needs/It's All About Me:

2. How will I know what size unit is best for me and my things?
We can give you an estimate based on how many rooms of furniture you need to store. We can also show you some different sizes. It often helps to see the actual size so you can visualize how you will be able to pack your items in. We also have a size converter on our website that can help.
3. Does the facility offer insurance?
Deans and Homer handles insurance for all our tenants storage needs. A brochure from Dean and Homer is provided in your move-in packet. They can provide renters insurance. Also many homeowners and renters policies will allow you to add on a storage unit. This process is often not automatic and requires you to contact your homeowner's carrier to add your storage goods.
4. Will my stored items be safe? What type of protection do I have?
We are completely fenced. Gate access is available by keypad access which limits access to the property and keeps a record of who is coming and going. We require all units to be locked with a disc lock. However we strongly recommend that you maintain proper insurance on your property as well.
5. What are the hours I can access my unit?
Normal gate hours are 6am-10pm. Office hours are 8:30am-6pm, Monday - Friday; 8:30am-5pm, Saturday; 11am-3pm, Sunday. We also have a locked mail drop, and answering service for your convenience.
6. Are you currently running any specials?
Please call our office at (281) 233-0400 for our current specials. We do offer specials only available online. Go check them out. We will meet or beat any deal!

Yes, most of our indoor units are climate controlled. Temperatures are maintained between 65 degrees and 80 degrees year round.
8. Can I change to a different size storage unit?
Yes. If your needs change, we'll make every effort to facilitate your move to a different size unit.
